Over the October Long weekend, 3 members of the Crookwell Heritage Railway took a trike each to visit the Glenreagh Mountain Railway.
The GMR held their inaugural Trike Rally Weekend. Members could bring their own track vehicle to run on the GMR’s track at Glereagh West and Lowanna on the now closed Dorrigo branch line.
Albert, Lenny and Bruce made the trek up north on Friday, September 28, where they were put through their paces to be trained to operate trike on GMR’s track. All passing with flying colours.
The Glenreagh Railway and Crookwell Railway cooperated together to make this event a success for the hobby of trikes and trolleys and rail preservation in general. Both groups plan to work together to preserve our history for future generations.
